Orlando Wedding Tip: Hire Photographer and Videographer Who Know Each Other

When you are planning your wedding, there are some key things that you can do to make sure it runs as smoothly as possibly. As a wedding videographer, I have worked with some fabulous photographers, and some not-so-easy to work with photographers.

It is in your best interest to hire a Photographer and Videographer who have work with one another in the past. If you have your heart set on a photographer that your videographer has not worked with (or vice versa), I recommend having them speak with one another before the day of the wedding. A better idea is to invite your videographer to your e-shoot (engagement shoot) to give the two professionals some time before the wedding to work together.

  • Choosing companies that have worked togetaher before make for better images in both the photos and film. – It’s true! I love when I already know what to expect, It give me more ease and more freedom to get creative.
  • When photographer has a relationship with a videographer, they tend to value what a videographer does. This gives the videographer more freedom to do her job efficiently and properly.
  • You will have a better film. When a photographer works with a videographer on a regular basis, they tend to be more cautious of the camera. This reduces the number of times a photographer walks in front of the camera (it happens more than we like to think).

It’s just not smart business practices, we recommend these photographers because we LOVE working with them! They are not only professional and produce some amazing images, but they respect us as professional videographers, and we work great together. Thus, giving you the best coverage for both your photos and wedding film.
