3 Beauty Tips Your Photographer Wont Tell You

Over the years, I have picked up some tips for looking your best both in photos and in your videos. With so many tips out there, here are 3 tips I found working you won’t find anywhere else.

No Gum Chewing: This goes for you and the rest of the wedding party. On of the most frustrating things a couple will encounter is a going through all your wedding photos and can’t find the one perfect full wedding party shot. Don’t be forced to choose over your best friend’s eyes closed, or worse… her mouth open. Stick to mints for fresh kissable breath!

Practice in the mirror: Models do it, why shouldn’t you? Take some of your favorite poses you’ve seen and practice them in a mirror. Make sure if your an all teeth smily person, to practice some relaxed mouth smile, for that romantic look. If your a mouth closed smiler, pay attention to smiling with your eyes. Extra bonus if you can get your fiancée to join in too, Oh!- while your there practice that ever so romantic kissing shot.

Hold your bouquet low: If you choose to have a bouquet, keep this in mind: the lower, the better. None of us are use to carrying a bouquet in our regular daily life, so when in doubt, stay low. For most bouquets, you should have only a slight bend in the elbow (it feels weird, I know). Make sure to pass this tip on, not only does it lengthen your torso but it shows off the details of your clothes.

Ft. Lauderdale Wedding Videographer -Same Day Edit

This couple shaped their wedding around what they love most. The Groom’s cake was an exact copy of the groom’s actual tow-truck, and the officiant was the bride’s grandmother. We just love it when the officiant is someone meaningful to the couple.

Wedding venue was at Doubletree Ocean Point Resort just outside the boarder of Ft. Lauderdale Beach. We always love working with Thompson Photography Group. The day-of coordination was well executed by Jennifer at Fabuluxe Events. Below if the Same Day Edit video we did. We shot and edited the video the same day, and showed it at the end of the evening.

We are seeking an apprentice to join our award winning video production crew. The position is designed to offer education to build your editing skill-set utilizing wedding footage. Skills obtained can be applied in a a variety of commercial, sports editing and documentary work.

This is a paid position offering one-on-one video editing training, designed specifically to build your editing skills with the potential of a full/part time position at the conclusion of the apprenticeship.

Mac operating system with Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro X
Basic working knowledge of FCP7 or FCPX
Ability to meet a minimum of one day per week in Viera, FL

Disney Wedding – Orlando Wedding Videography

This couple had a destination wedding at Disney. This was a first for us, we finally got to shoot at Disney’s Contemporary resort, where the reception was located. As a kid I always loved the novelty of riding the monorail though the hotel. I remember as a kid, trying to get a glimpse into the window and see Mickey at the character breakfast. At this shoot, we took some extra time to shoot some new time-lapse of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, and the weather really cooperated with us. This couple was ready to have a good time, and we had a blast working with them. We shot and edited this same day edit video and showed it at the reception.

Everglades Club Wedding – Palm Beach Videography

This couple married at the Everglades Club, in Palm Beach. I had heard so much about the venue, as it’s an exclusive private club for the socialites of Palm Beach. It is as beautiful and lush as they say. I just love the hydrangeas that were scattered around the ceremony in full bloom. The cocktail hour overlooked Palm Beach’s intercoastal waterway. It was just a lovely day. We shot this same day edit wedding film:

Orlando Hilton Wedding – Orlando Wedding Videography

This couple got married at Hilton Orlando. The use of Cherry Blossoms in the reception was breathtaking. The weather wasn’t cooperating so the ceremony ended up indoors. I just loved the 380 degree ceremony and floral on the arch. Flowers were provided by Greenery Productions, Coordination by Weddings Unique DJ by Dj Carl and Photography by Kelly Canova. We shot and edited this Same Day Edit and showed the video just before the last dance.

The Addison Wedding – Palm Beach Wedding Videographer

Words cannot describe how gracious, kind and loving this couple is. I usually ask couples when they first contacted me what they want in a wedding film. It’s a tough question for anyone. But for this couple, they knew from the start what they wanted their wedding day to be like. Authentic. When couples plan for months- even years for their wedding day, it can sometimes take control of their lives. This couple made a conscious effort to not worry about the small things, and to enjoy every joy- and bump in the road.

Jackie went without a bouquet, instead honoring her late horse, by carrying a ribbon tied horse shoe down the isle. They both adore their fury friends and had both pugs walk down the isle. The Addison has an outdoor ceremony site with two large Banyan trees as the sun sets thought the leaves.

This shoot was feature for the 5th time (but who’s counting??) This time at Belle Magazine, a wedding blog for the sophisticated bride. We love this Orlando venue for it’s stained glass windows and chic old world feel. After all it its one of the only historic buildings still standing in Downtown Orlando.

Seeing Red? What Does Red have to do with Marriage Equality

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have seen your Facebook blow up with red. From cute Bert & Ernie in the foreground to customized logos red-out to show their support, it’s everywhere!

If you are wondering what does those double white lines in a red box actually mean, you’ve come to the right place. The original photo was the HRC’s logo (Human Rights Campaign)- seen right. It was given a red makeover, by an unknown source, to show support of the two cases currently being heard by the Supreme Court. Both cases could mean a break though for gays and lesbian marriage equality. The red square with white equal signs is a modification of the HRC logo. It’s one of the largest GLBT organizations in the country. You can spot on the back of many supporters’s cars. This logo is a modest sign of showing support without overtly screaming a RAINBOW from your bumper. Personally, we are a member of HRC, and I encourage you to become a member of HRC or a local organization that is fighting for marriage equality. In Florida there isand in Bsoton there is Equality Florida and in Boston there is Mass Equality.

HRC is giving away free stickers. Put one on your car or boat to show your support.

Florida Destination Wedding Videography

This couple had a destination wedding in Sebastian Florida. One hundred of their closest family and friends escaped the cold in Wisconsin to celebrate their wedding on a small beach in Florida. The reception was held at Capt Hirams is a Sebastian Florida. We got to work with some great vendors including Thompson Photography Group who is based in South Florida.
